If this enemy was so impenetrable, so invisible, so damaging to me, how much more infinitely powerful was the One I had called on to save me? That was beyond my ability to understand.

I lay there, still dressed in my show clothes, and did not reach for the weed pen. Instead, I repeated over and over, “Jesus, save me. Please, save me.”

My breathing slowed, my heartbeat stabilized, my tears dried, and I fell asleep on the cold floor.

If this story sounds unbelievable, I understand. For the most part, I’m a logical person and could barely comprehend any of it myself. But if you’re questioning my sanity now, that wasn’t the last time I felt a spirit that was not my own. This part of my story was only just beginning.
